This book is many things. Firstly, this book is therapy...
On June 9 2015, Kay Wilson gave a Tedx Talk hosted by Ben-Gurion Universtiy of the Negev. She spoke about a horrific machete attack that occurred in December 2010 while guiding her American friend and client, the late Kristine Luken. The two women were attacked and held at knife point and eventually tied up and then brutally stabbed. Kay watched helplessly as her friend was executed. Despite sustaining horrendous injuries herself, she managed to play dead and later escape. After nearly four years of physical rehabilitation and trauma therapy, Kay began working as an inspirational speaker, speaking for non-profits on issues of human rights for global victims of terrorism and campaigning against hate speech on university campuses. to watch this amazing Ted Talk click here
This book is many things: Firstly, this book is therapy. The way Tuvia writes is hysterical. As a survivor of a horrific Palestinian machete attack, I haven't had such a good laugh since I was almost murdered. Secondly, this book is shocking. The hate and rabid anti semitism that the author reveals behind these ostensibly charitable NGO's is distressing. Thirdly, this book is logical. I have always wondered what enables two men, who were once little boys, to hack two defenceless innocent women with machetes, without blinking an eye, and now I know. It is the endless cycle of hate and the pornography of victimhood which these European NGO's feed the Palestinians, so much so that in the end anything is allowed in the name of "justice." You're my hero Tuvia! I will buy you a pint of German beer.
